Suzuka Circuit
Suzuka Racing Circuit was the first full-scale racing track in Japan. Built in 1962 it has built it’s reputation as the centrepiece for Japanese motorsports and has become an iconic circuit on the international stage for all forms of motor racing. The circuit is 5.087km in length and is known for it’s high speeds and for its “figure eight” layout, with the 1.2 km (0.75 mi) long back straight passing over the front section by means of an overpass. It is one of only two FIA Grade 1 licensed tracks to have a “figure eight” layout.
The Suzuka International Racing Course is located in Ino, Suzuka City, Mie Prefecture, Japan and operated by Honda Mobilityland, a subsidiary of Honda Motor Co, Ltd. It has a capacity of 155,000.
Nagoya
The city of Nagoya is the capital of Aichi Prefecture and has over two million residents making it the fourth largest city in Japan. It is the principal city of the Nobi plain, one of Honshu’s three large plains and metropolitan and industrial centre. It’s proud centre of Japan’s leading car manufacturer Toyota Motor Corporation who has it’s headquarters just outside the city. A visit to Toyota’s Kaikan Museum is definitely worth a visit when in the region and is where Toyota displays its new models and technologies to the public.
