Introduction
Niseko is perhaps one of Japan’s most talked about ski resorts due to the phenomenal amount of quality dry snow it receives. Niseko’s snowfall is on average 11 metres per year, but it’s the quality of that snow that sets Niskeo apart from its peers. Niseko is the biggest ski area on the island of Hokkaido with its 3 main resorts being Niseko Village, Grand Hirafu and Annupuri. Mt Yotei, an extinct volcano towers above the ski area providing a mesmerising backdrop as you ski the incredible untracked bottomless powder and long runs Niseko has on offer.

Nightlife
Annupuri and Niseko Village (Higashiyama) have restaurants and bars, yet the Hirafu village is the heartbeat of Niseko, with most dining and nightlife options centred around this village.
There is a great range of restaurants in Niseko, prices are cheap by Western comparison, and the variety of cuisine will be a highlight of your trip. The restaurants are popular so you’ll need to make reservations for dinner at many of the mainstream Niseko restaurants.
Some Niseko restaurants and bars don’t accept credit cards so make sure you’re cashed up with yen.
