Top 5 Reasons for Golf in Japan?

We’ve just got back from playing and experiencing golf in Japan. Epic. The reasons to travel and play golf in Japan are endless but here is our top 5:

  1. Quality and Quantity! Not a common occurrence in the modern world but Japan has achieved this in spades when it comes to their golf courses. The attention to detail that the Japanese are well known for flourishes when playing and experiencing their golfing facilities throughout the country. Choose from over 2,000 courses consisting of large variety of styles with world class quality.
  2. A Unique Golfing Culture. From the moment you arrive at the course the experience is second to none in our opinion. Think….. arriving and checking into a luxury hotel. From portage on arrival, reception desk check-in, leather and digital card (for running your tab), exquisite locker rooms and clubhouse facilities.
  3. Golf Tech & The On-Course Experience. The Japanese have mastered integrating technology into to the very traditional game of golf. Some of the most common examples of this you will see are computerised practice pods (including automated tee ups!), robotic cleaners, in-built GPS golf mapping in your carts and driverless golf carts. These combined with your personal caddie with all the course knowledge it’s just unreal!
  4. Lunch after 9! After your first 9 holes golfer enjoy a sit down lunch. The clubhouse’s in Japan are fully equipped with food and beverage services via their in-house restaurant staff and menu. This on-course tradition is to facilitate business networking for the Japanese where a large amount of businesses hold corporate memberships for their key employees.
  5. Scenery and Course Designs. Not surprising really from the home of the Bonsai and the world famous style of  Japanese Garden. The meticulous course maintenance —Japanese golf courses are famous for their pristine conditions and again ‘attention to detail’.

We’re taking bookings for our 9 Day Japan Golf Tour in May 2026 so reach out to discuss!
