How Do I get to Shiga Kogen?
Shiga Kogen can be easily reached by several transport methods from Tokyo. The most common way to travel is a ride on the Shinkansen (Bullet Train) which reaches speeds of up to 300km per hour to Nagano city or nearby Iiyama Station, followed by a one-and-a-half-hour bus to the ski resort. Enjoy the scenery of the alpine hills and valleys on your journey whichever way you travel. Private transfers & Airport Shuttle services also available.
What are the skiing and snowboarding conditions like in Shiga Kogen?
Shiga Kogen is one of Japan’s largest ski areas made up of 18 interlinked ski resorts that offer a smorgasbord of options including beginner slopes, long cruisers, challenging moguls, and powder bowls. One lift ticket gives you access to more than 50 lifts, gondolas, and ropeways! The area is also close to local cultural sites with the opportunity to experience some of Japan’s rich traditions.
Do I need a Visa to travel to Japan?
