Where is Aspen?

The town of Aspen is 354km southwest of Denver International Airport. A well organised system of ground transportation operations run frequently between Denver airport and Aspen. As a guide, this trip takes around 3 to 3.5 hrs one way. Car rental is another alternative however keep in mind that the use of a car is somewhat unnecessary once you are in Aspen due to the free shuttle bus that circulates around Aspen and between each ski resort.

Aspen-Pitkin County Airport is another gateway airport to the region and is approximately 5km from Aspen and just under 10km from Snowmass.

Accommodation Options in Aspen

Most of the Aspen hotels at the south end of town are conveniently very close to the slopes of Aspen Mountain. There is very little true ski-in ski-out accommodation in Aspen, but staying near the gondola is still a very prime location and many of the best Aspen hotels are located here.

Aspen’s Nightlife

A major part of the attraction of Aspen is enjoying it’s infamous restaurants and bar scene and making your contribution to the pulsating vibe around town. Choose your preferred scene, if your craving Michelin star restaurants and refined cocktail bars, Aspen has got you covered. Make sure you dress appropriately! If  a more casual relaxed scene is more your style, check out any of the numerous cafes and pubs. As the night goes on, you’ll no doubt experience the hype of the lively nightlife that Aspen is renowned for.

Do I need a Visa for the USA?

If you’re visiting for less than 90 days, you may be eligible to apply for an Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) and enter the US under the Visa Waiver Program (VWP). If not, you’ll need to get a visa before you travel. Whether you’re travelling on a visa or under the VWP, ensure that you understand all relevant terms and conditions before attempting to enter the US. Entry and exit conditions can change at short notice.

How do I get to Aspen Snowmass?

There are flights available from most major cities in Australia to Denver Airport, usually with 1 stop en route.On arrival you will be transferred 3.5 hours by road to your accommodation in Aspen Snowmass.

What are the skiing conditions like in Aspen?  

Aspen Snowmass is world-famous with its four distinct mountains that offer some of the best skiing in the world. Aspen Mountain is considered the “town mountain,” known for its long groomers and steep gladed terrain. Buttermilk is great for beginners and families (and known for hosting the Winter X Games).

• 50% deposit is required to secure your package.
• Balance is due 60 days prior to departure.

• Credit Card (Surcharges apply).
• Cheques can be made payable to PlaySeeGo Travel Group Pty Ltd and mailed to PO Box 34, Kew East, Victoria, 3102.

Additional Terms

• Amendments made to a confirmed booking may attract a fee of $55 plus any additional hotel and airline charges. Any amendments made after documentation has been issued may attract a fee of $110.
• Bookings made within 14 days of departure may attract a further $165.
• Mates’ Escapes cannot be held responsible for snow conditions, and holidays cannot be cancelled or amended on the basis of weather conditions.
• We strongly recommend purchasing Travel Insurance to mitigate any financial loss should you be unable to travel when required.
• Bookings are subject currency fluctuations either up or down until your booking is paid for in full. Variations are calculated on the exchange rate at the time the deposit is paid until such time the final balance is paid. We recommend paying your final instalment as soon as possible to lock in your package’s cost.
